See how Seapoint accelerated average decisioning time by 98%.
Seapoint replaced manual document collection with a clearer, real-time onboarding flow - doubling automated approvals for UK businesses and making onboarding feel more like the product it had built.
Document collection slowed customers at the point of conversion.
Seapoint has both SaaS and financial product workflows. The SaaS product does not require KYB, but the financial products do.
Before Lissom, the process was manual. Someone from the Seapoint team would speak to the customer, request documents, prepare the information and send it to the relevant providers.
That created two problems. It would not scale as Seapoint prepared for launch, and it created inconsistent submissions in an otherwise strong onboarding journey. Different customers were asked for information in different ways. Edge cases were hard to handle. Automated approval rates were low, and customers often faced extra back-and-forth before a decision.
Seapoint built a simple form as a temporary fix. It made document uploads more secure, but did not improve straight-through processing or remove friction from the wider journey.

When a customer is in the onboarding flow, they are at their highest intent. If they do not pass KYB quickly, there is a real chance they will not come back.
A focused onboarding layer, not a full compliance stack.
Seapoint did not want to build a full CDD platform internally. The team had other product priorities and needed a partner that could invest in the edge cases, improve the customer experience and fit its operating model.
That model mattered. Seapoint owns the customer journey, while a regulated partner handles processing. It feels every slow-down and customer complaint without owning the full operational process behind the scenes.
Lissom gave Seapoint a focused onboarding layer that could sit in front of the existing provider setup. It collected the right information earlier, improved submission quality and helped customers move faster, without forcing the team to buy infrastructure it did not need.
The modular approach let Seapoint improve intake and customer-facing onboarding while continuing to rely on its provider for processing. Implementation took around two weeks with one engineer.
Real-time document feedback
Applicants fix missing or incorrect documents while they are still engaged, rather than waiting for manual rejection.
Cleaner provider data
Better information reaches processing partners, reducing avoidable follow-up across the wider journey.
A right-sized integration
Seapoint solved the immediate onboarding problem and kept room to expand later.

Lissom is much more on brand with the business we’re trying to build. If we give you the website and company name, you can already find out so much that there’s very little the customer has to do.
Faster approvals and a cleaner customer experience.
Average decisioning time accelerated by 98%. Median onboarding time fell from 6.7 days to 3 hours. Automated approvals for UK businesses doubled, and the fastest recorded journey through onboarding was 9.9 minutes. Seapoint estimates that, excluding non-legitimate applications, conversion for genuine businesses is close to 70% - far higher than the market average.
The experience now feels more aligned with Seapoint’s product. Company information can be pre-filled, customers provide less manually and real-time document feedback lets them fix problems before they leave the flow.
KYB is rarely something customers enjoy. When it works, they do not talk about it. When it breaks, they remember it. Lissom helped Seapoint make that moment faster, clearer and less manual.
