Cookie policy

We use PostHog to understand visits and improve this website. The following rules distinguish limited visit statistics from analytics that use cookies and session replay.

• Ignore or close the banner: this does not give consent to analytics cookies or replay. We use limited cookieless statistics to count visits to pages. This mode operates only where we have established a basis for doing so without consent. It does not use analytics cookies, persistent visitor profiles or session replay.
• Accept: when analytics are enabled, this allows analytics cookies for page views, clicks and conversion events, plus session replay — recordings of page interactions with text and inputs masked.
• Essential only: this selects the same limited cookieless statistics mode, with analytics cookies and session replay off.
• Reject optional cookies: this stops all analytics, including cookieless statistics and session replay. You can choose this under More options or in Cookie settings.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Closing the banner leaves any existing choice unchanged and hides the notice until the next page reload.

Your preference applies for up to 180 days and is stored in your browser’s local storage under lissom.cookie-consent. The record contains your choice, its date, expiry and policy version, with no visitor identifier. It is not sent to us. After 180 days we ask again. An expired, invalid or older-policy record keeps both analytics modes off until you make a new choice; it may remain in local storage until replaced or cleared through your browser’s site-data controls. If your browser cannot read or save the choice, both analytics modes stay off.

The configured provider is PostHog Cloud in the United States. Cookieless statistics count page visits without storing a persistent analytics identifier in your browser. PostHog uses the request’s IP address and browser user agent to calculate a server-side hash that changes daily. Cookieless does not mean that no personal data is processed. In either analytics mode, page views also carry the referring website’s domain (or a direct-visit marker) and any validated UTM source, medium and campaign labels from the arrival link. We do not send the full referring URL or advertising click IDs.

After Accept, analytics can also record link and button clicks, form starts, scroll milestones, page exits, successful contact and demo-booking submissions, and session replay. If you successfully submit either form after accepting analytics, we send your email address to PostHog to identify your profile and link your visits to your enquiry or booking. We exclude names, other form answers, full URL query strings and fragments from events. Replay masks text and attributes and blocks forms, booking details, embedded frames and media. We do not use this integration for advertising. Submitting a form without analytics acceptance does not create a PostHog profile.

The accepted mode can store a first-party analytics cookie and local/session storage using the name ph_lissom_analytics, with the cookie limited to 180 days. The SDK may also store its consent state as lissom.analytics-consent. Choosing Essential only or Reject removes the SDK’s analytics persistence. Reject also stops cookieless statistics. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected.

See PostHog’s privacy notice for information about the provider. Our Lissom GTM project retains analytics events and session recordings for up to one year. Browser cookie expiry does not delete events already received by PostHog. To request deletion of your profile and associated activity, contact us using the details in our privacy policy.
